I was born in 1971 in Mühlhausen / Thuringia. Since the age of seven I took drum and piano lessons and later studied Classical Percussion and Timpani at the University of Music "Franz Liszt" in Weimar. In addition to that I attended numerous Workshops and took Lessons with Jeff Hamilton, Jeff Hirshfield, John Marshall,Gregg Bissonette, Jojo Mayer, Ed Soph, Gary Chaffee, Steve Smith and Ari Hoenig.

I teached Drumset at the University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig from 2000 - 2022.

Concerts,Workshops,Clinics and Tours took me through France, Italy, Switzerland, Tunisia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Mexico, Lithuania, Thailand and other wonderful Places.

In 2023 I joined legendary German Band KARAT as their new Drummer following the wonderful Michael Schwandt who is a Drum Hero since I was a Kid !
